Infraction Review

I feel like this is a book series that is way under everyone's radar. After reading The Burn, I feel in love with this whole plot line. I finally got to the second book in the trilogy.

Title: Infraction
By Annie Oldham
Copy: e-reader
Pages: 280

Synopsis: Violent nomads. The coming winter. Jack's unspoken feelings. Leaving the relative peace of the settlement is more difficult than Terra ever imagined. But what she should fear most is the government that professes to protect its citizens. Imprisoned in a labor camp, Terra learns just how much the corrupt regime wants absolute control. Never has she felt more powerless to act. But there's always the call of the ocean, and her captors just might underestimate how powerful that call can be. (from amazon)

Review: I loved this story. It gives you even more idea of that the world had become and how an outsider copes in that world. I wish more people would read this series. I don't mean it needs to become a movie, but I think it's a really good series and this book is no exception. I read it one sitting because I was so drawn in. If you like YA dystopian give this series a try.

The Girl in the Spider's Web

I am sure I am not the only one who got excited to see a continuation for the Millennium series. I read the trilogy as quickly as I could and was sadden to see there were no more books because the author had passed away. I was happy to see that someone else decided to write a new book to continue the story along.

Title: The Girl in the Spider's Wed
Author: David Lagercrantz
Publisher: Alfred Knopf Publishing
Copy: Hardcopy
Pages: 400

Synopsis: Late one night, Blomkvist receives a phone call from a source claiming to have information vital to the United States. The source has been in contact with a young female superhacker—a hacker resembling someone Blomkvist knows all too well. The implications are staggering. Blomkvist, in desperate need of a scoop for Millennium, turns to Salander for help. She, as usual, has her own agenda. The secret they are both chasing is at the center of a tangled web of spies, cybercriminals, and governments around the world, and someone is prepared to kill to protect it . . .  (From Amazon)

Review: I am not sure if I loved this book because I was excited to see a new book from the series or if I really loved the book. I enjoyed the book regardless of what the real reason is for that. It was a fast read and I really enjoyed the story. If you loved the books by the original author I think you will enjoy this one as well. I know not everyone has, but I think it's worth your time.

NOS4A2 Review

It's been a long time since I've read a supernatural book. I am not sure why other than I really haven't been looking at any. I saw this book on a youtube channel and the synopsis caught my attention so I had to get it. It was gifted to me by my brother last Christmas. I didn't read it until more recently ( which is is outdated since I read this book in November of 2015) because I decided to read the books that have been sitting on my book shelf for a long time first before any new books. Well I have some e-books I've been reading that are new, but I can read more than on book at a time.

Title:NOS4A2 by Joe Hill
Publisher: HaperCollins
Published year: 2013
Paperback Copy
Page numbers:692

Synopsis: A girl named Vic has an uncanny ability to find things. All she needs is her bike and she can go to where the lost object is. As she gets older Vic meets someone else who can travel like she can. Expect he's not a good guy. Vic must do what she can to save those who have been taken to Christmasland.

Review: I wish I read this book sooner than letting it collect dust on my bookshelf. It's a decent size book, but I read it very quickly. I really liked how each chapter takes place in one area and that the chapter title is part of the writing itself. It lets you know where you are and what is going to happen without too many spoilers. It is something new that I have not seen before.

I think this book is very original and something that anyone who enjoys a good thriller with twists and turns will enjoy.
